1870's Bustle Era Dress












From the seller:

This Auction is for A Victorian Ladies Bodice and Skirt Ensemble

Garment shows signs of wear. While that being said garment still displays very nicely. Ruffled black lace trim.

After measuring this garment would of fit a size S Ladies.

Measurements~

Bodice~

Bust: 30 inches
Sleeves: 13 inches
Back Neckline to Hemline: 18 inches

Skirt~

Waist: 24 inches
Front of Skirt Length: 40 inches (longer at the back)

Being sold as-is for display or study. Garments has age spotting, some staining and holes.

From Me:

With Renaissance and Medieval paintings, I always find myself internally yelling at the portraits/figures in the painting to "turn around!" so I can see what the heck is going on on the back of the outfit. With the bustle era fashion plates, I find myself yelling at them to turn around so I can see what the heck is going on on the front of the outfit. :-)
