This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. Edwardian Bodice In Red Velvet
From the seller:
A beautiful vivid red corded velvet bodice. The front inset, lapels and sleeve cuffs are made of light gold floral lame fabric. The bodice is trimmed with red velvet bows and has a high neck collar. The bodice is lined with cotton and the lining has a front hook and eye closure. The outside fabric closes to the side. The bodice is in very good condition. There is a pea size blue spot on the collar and one on the sleeve cuff. There is light soiling on the inside lining. Bust 31 Waist 23.
