This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Black Edwardian Sheer Skirt
From the seller:
Antique Victorian, early Edwardian sweepy full long skirt with tuck pleats, needlework crescents and soutache detail. The skirt closes in the back with hook and eyes
VINTAGE ~~ Victorian early Edwardian
LABEL ~ ~ The Queen Skirt
FABRIC ~ ~~ ~ mesh fabric, maybe linen
MEASUREMENTS ~ 39 1/2" length in front, 42 1/2" length in back, 24" waist, 120" hemsweep
CONDITION ~ ~~ You can see in the photos that the skirt needs to be mended in several places. The fabric is still very sound and the skirt so worth taking the time to mend.
