Cashmere Wool Edwardian Dress

From the seller:

An enchanting 1890’s ivory cashmere wool two piece dress. The bodice has a high neck lace insert. An ivory satin panel surrounds the neck insert. The bodice and sleeve cuffs are trimmed with open eave silk lace. The sleeves are made of silk. The bodice and sleeves are trimmed with decorative buttons. The bodice is lined with silk and has a back hook and eye closure. The front panel on the skirt matches the trim on the bodice. The skirt is unlined. The dress is in very good condition. The lining inside the bodice is splitting, there is a tiny split on one sleeve, very light soiling on the edge of the hemline and a small split in the high neck insert. There is no moth damage and no underarm discoloration. Bust 34 Waist 24 Front skirt length 40 Back length 48.

From me:

I hate to disagree with this seller -he's normally pretty correct- but this is clearly a late 1900's if not early 1910's dress. The embroidery style, the lace neckline insert, the 3/4 length sleeves, and the use of buttons as decoration all suggest an Edwardian style.
