Polonaise Bustle Era Dress

From the seller:

Late 19th Century (1870's through 1880's) polonaise bodice/ long jacket is made out of brown cotton with beautiful floral print and sewn entirely by hand. Long sleeves are very tapered. Turn down collar. Very fitted throughout waist with bustle back. Lined. No boning.

There is a hole at the seam at the right underarm. There is a 5" repair at the center back hem. All garments are cleaned unless otherwise noted. Additional photographs available upon request.
MATERIAL: Cotton
COLOR: Brown, Dark Pink, Olive Green, White
MEASUREMENTS: Please compare the measurements listed below to a garment that fits you well. These measurements were taken with the garment lying flat, and when appropriate, doubled to calculate the circumference.

Bust: 30-32"
Waist: 24"
Hips: Open"
Across Shoulders: 14"
Sleeve Length: 19.5"
Center Back Length: 47"

From Me:

I would totally wear this with a pair of leggings on the weekend. Too bad it's over a hundred and thirty years old! (Not to mention, not my size)

  1. At first I thought this was a dress! With minor adjustments in the pattern and the Kardashian boots look this could be quite flattering.

    1. It is a dress. It's a bustle dress from the Bustle era over 130 years ago. You don't adjust perfection.

The type of boots I believe you are talking about are called Gogo boots - which were around long before the Kardashian whores.
