I know many of you have heard about Dress U. For those that haven't, it's the first weekend in June in Philadelphia, PA. It's going to be a weekend filled with costumes, classes, and parties. These parties include such fun themes like the Titanic Dinner Party, the Mad Hatter Tea Party, and Tiaras and Jampagne! Costumes required for the parties, of course.
I'm attending every event and will be teaching a class. It will be a computer class at the Dress University but it will be on how to search for costume and vintage related items. Please, check out the website and sign up for Dress U!
This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

I really hope this works out for the East coast. We love our Costume College convention in Los Angeles so much, which its modeled after, sorta. Its so much fun to geek out with other costumers for a couple days instead of just a single event. I've been going to CoCo for 8 years now, with it only being a 2 hr drive for me. I'm really looking forward to seeing all the photos that come out of it, and I hope you're able to share some of your experiences there.
