From me: Unfortunately, the seller provided a lot of information but a lot of it's wrong. She claims it's from the 1880's which it isn't. She said that it's 22 cm for a waist or 56 in. I'm pretty sure she means it the other way around. 22" for a waist, 32" for the bust. This is very much an 1840's bodice. The sloping shoulders, the pleats, all very indicative of this era. It's an awesome piece.
This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes.
