1890's Purple Bodice

This piece dates to the Victorian 19th C and is fashioned of rich purple French silk jacquard. The sleeves are massively full in puff fullness, fitted at the bottom with covered buttons and thread loops closing. The collar is high, ruched at the rear closure, embroidered eyelet cotton ruffles trim the front hook closure. Labeled petersham with an inner lining of silk taffeta and fully boned. Absolutely pristine mint in its antique condition! No splits, no fray, no wear inside or out. Measures 30 inches around the bust, 24 inches around the waist, 14 inches across the shoulders, and 21 inches in longest length.
