The Dress ~ Actually a set comprised of a blouse & Skirt ~ Museum Quality Antique Japanese Silk Victorian Dress Set ~ Adorned with Gorgeous Collar and puff sleeves ~ Richly Woven Japanese Silk in a Dark Truffle Color near Black with iory Pattern ~ Lined in Brushed Cotton ~ Large Metal Hook/Eye Closure in Front ~ boning in bodice for shape ~ Extremely Well Made with Stunning Details

Excellent Condition for age with some minor typical signs of wear around the edges. No notable stains, odors or dry rot ~ The outer silk has a few small/ tiny holes around the edges ~ The lining in the sleeves is torn *Could be worn with care, but note this is an antique, and we cannot guarantee that wearing will not damage the dress.

From me:

I honestly thought this was a costume at first blush due to the pattern on the fabric. It looked like something straight out of the 1990's, not the 1890's. However, the construction and detail photos show that, yes, it's from the 1890's. Very cool!
