This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Smart Green 1860's dress
From the seller:
For sale is a wonderful set that includes an original antique Victorian dress, matching sewing bag and boots. Please see the pictures to check out how marvelous this set is.
The dress is in wonderful condition with original buttons in the front and original fringe on the sleeves. The sewing bag has a wicker scissors holder with a pair of embroidery scissors (I don't believe that they are original to the bag), and two small lidded wicker baskets/holders possible for a thimble and thread.
From me:
This is a lovely early 1860's ensemble complete with the original accessories!
