A stunning 1895 celery green satin dress that has a Jordan Marsh & Co, Boston label. The bodice is lavishly trimmed with blonde lace that extends over the top of the leg of mutton style sleeve. The waist is trimmed with celery green velvet and rosettes at the back waist. The bodice is lined with silk and has a padded bust line. It has a front hook and eye closure. The skirt is partly lined with cotton and the hemline is lined with green silk. The dress is in very good and sturdy condition. There is a small area of underarm discoloration, one of the sleeves has some scuff marks and stress wear, a couple of small drip marks on the lower edge of the skirt front and fraying along the edge of the hemline. The flaws are not major and do not distract when the dress is displayed. Bust 32 Waist 22 Skirt length 41.
