1860's Blue and Pink Wrapper

From the seller:

Offered for study, an original circa 1868 lady's pale blue calico printed cotton one piece house dress or wrapper with contrasting red piped seam accents, whistle style buttons to the front closure and turned cuffs, and a ruffled flounced hem. Shown over a hoop that is not included. One side slit pocket and one watch pocket at the waist. In study condition, with a later Victorian calico lining to the bodice that is machine sewn with the stitching showing to the front. Scattered small to a few 1/2" holes, some period mended holes, most to one side panel of the skirt, some light soiling below the waistband and at one side panel of the skirt, some wear to the piping and to the crease of the hem from normal use, and a 5 1/2" area at one side hem without its outer flounce. All is reflected in the reserve price for this hard to come by post Civil War everyday house dress.
