This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

c.1910-12 Stunning Longline Peach Corset by American Lady
Never Worn
FABULOUS SALES AT TIME FOR TEA ANTIQUES & ECCENTRICITIES!
Description:
Exquisite c.1910- 1912 Edwardian longline peach/salmon cotton coutil corset made by American Lady.
During the Edwardian era straight fronted corsets became fashionable and its style was the favorite for controlling the waist, hips and tummy, and supporting the bust. This is a wonderful example of the period, in Mint Unworn condition!
A wide band of superb embroidered lace trim decorates the top edge of the corset while a lovely silk bow at the center front adds a degree os softness to such a rigid structure. The corset is firmly boned and must have provided a considerable degree of support and the desirable "S Curve" silhouette.
The corset closes front with 5 metal hooks and there are 21 eyes on the back for lacing. The corset have four lovely and intact garters with ornate silver tone metal buckles engraved Velvet Grip.
This fabulous Edwardian corset is labelled, elegantly stamped inside: American Lady. Style 724. Boned with Mightybone. Cotton Corset made in US of America.
Measures: Underbust: 32"; Waist: 26 1/2"; Hips: 45"; Long at center front: 15 1/2"; Long at center back: 17 1/2". The corset will fit much smaller with a tighter cinch.
Condition: The corset is in near Mint condition. Strong and Clean. Wearable. There is no rust or corrosion on any of the metal parts. Back lacing is original but too delicate, so it must be replaced.
Simply Divine!
I Ship Worldwide. If you have questions, contact me and I´ll do my best to give you more information.
From Me:
I admit it. I giggled when I saw "Boned with Mightybone!" Of course, all I could think of was a little flying dog and his sidekick, Mightybone! Avengers of bad corsetry everywhere!
