This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1860's Headwear with black velvet bands
From the seller:
An enchanting 1860’s organdy and lace trimmed headdress. The headdress is also trimmed with black velvet ribbon and has black velvet ribbon chin ties. The long back curtain is decorated with lace inserts and black velvet ribbon. The front brim is trimmed with lace. It is in good condition. It has not been cleaned so there is some discoloration on the lace trim, mostly to the lace on the front brim. There are a couple of pencil tip size holes on the back curtain.
From Me:
What the seller said. :-)
