This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Black Teens Era Dress with cute flower detail
From the seller:
Vintage 1920-30s DRESS with IVORY LACE COLLAR sz Med-L Bust = 40
Reminiscent of the clothes seen on "Downton Abbey", this dress is very wearable and from the era of the late mid 20s - 30s. It has a fitted waist with an attached draped belt that has a fabric flower affixed to it. The bell sleeves are long. The neck line is square with an underbodice. It closes with snaps and hooks and eyes. The gathered skirt has a shorter over skirt which hangs from off-center front and wraps around to the opposite off-center front for an interesting look that carries through from the pre and post WWI era. Condition: In good condition. I did not find any holes, tears, stains, etc. Some of the snaps and hooks and eyes are missing and will need to be replaced.
The approximate measurements are as follows:
B = 40"
W = 32"
H = n/a
Shoulder to shoulder across back = 16-1/2
Center back neck to waist = 15-1/2"
Waist to Hem Length = 32
Sleeve = 18-1/2"
From Me:
Same question as the previous one.
Again, WWI, not 1930's.
