From the seller:

A charming 1840’s teal blue plaid cotton dress. The bodice has short cap sleeves that are trimmed with double ruffles. The front waist has ruching. The armscyes, neckline and waist are piped. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a back button closure. The skirt is attached to the waist with cartridge pleating. The skirt is unlined. The dress is all hand stitched. It is in very good condition. There is some scattered small age spotting and one four inch period mend on the back of the skirt. Bust 30 Waist 24 Skirt length 38.

From me:

If I had extra money now, this would be mine. This is the sweetest looking early 1840's dress I have seen in a while. I'd hazard to guess it could be late 1830's based on the shoulder style and waistline.

This dress is really cute and I like everything about it: the colour, the quite plain look and the lovely sleeves! It's really charming!
