This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Dark wine colored satin with ivory satin and lace trim. Small size for a petit adult. Total length is 72" from back; shoulder to sleeve cuffs 18" (not including lace trim); waist is ca. 30". Posted as found; fraying to interior lining generally along bottom hem and rear back/shoulders; a piece of the lace was cut off from the front trim; holes to the lace trim on one sleeve; fraying to the ivory colored silk on collar; buttons are mismatched/old replacements; fraying to ivory satin on one rear bow panel; one shoulder seam is un-stitched; old hand-sewn repairs to one of the armpits; on the back a 5" portion of a vertical seam located below the ribbon is un-stitched. The wine colored satin is in good condition with no fading or discoloration. The dress is dusty/some soiling. It's an old dress, ca. 1880s-1900. Satin shoes with leather soles; wear to both. Please examine pictures for condition. Dress & shoes weigh 3 1/2 lbs before packing. Thanks for looking, email with questions.
From Me:
I'm waffling between 1870's and 1880's on this on - leaning towards the 1870's. The sleeve style suggest an older dress.
