This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Turn of the Century Green Skirt
From the seller:
Elegant antique skirt from the late 1800's.
Made of patterned silk in beautiful dark green and cream with black velvet trim.
Ruffled at the bottom.
Closes in the back with hook and eye closure.
The skirt has a train of about 12 inches.
It is lined in brown polished cotton.
There is a lot of staining on the skirt as shown in photos. I have not tried to clean it. There are no funny odors and the fabric is still quite strong.
Measurements are as follows:
Waist (as shown): 11-1/2 inches across the front while laying flat
Hips: 23 inches across the front.
Length (in front): 41 inches
Being sold as is.
Please see photos and let me know if you have additional questions.

From Me:
This could be either 1890's or 1900's. Too bad the bodice didn't survive with it.
