Blue Striped 1880s Bustle Dress








From the seller:

A vivid blue 1880’s silk bustle dress being offered for study or pattern. The fabric has a stripe pattern done in royal blue and aqua and a thin black and white stripe. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a front button closure. The long back tail is trimmed with decorative buttons. The fabric on the front panel of the skirt is laid in a horizontal pattern that gives an interesting effect. The back of the skirt has a bustle panel that has a center row of ruching. The skirt is lined with cotton. The bodice has underarm discoloration and wear to the underarm fabric. The aqua stripe on the fabric has quite a bit of age spotting on both the jacket and skirt. There is some stress wear on the side of the bodice and some fraying along the skirt hemline. There are a few pea size holes and one missing button. Bust 32 Waist 26 Skirt length 41.
