This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Lace Dress
From the seller:
An exquisite 1912 Edwardian ecru Irish and net lace tea dress. The dress is from a wealthy CT. estate. The name of the original owner will be provided to the winning bidder. As can be seen by this dress and the other dresses from her wardrobe she was a woman of high style. The dress is completely lined with a layer of ecru net lace that is embroidered with circles. The bodice is trimmed with a wide band of Irish lace. The neckline is trimmed with an insert of Duchesse lace. The double sleeves are trimmed with lace and embroidery. The lower edge of the skirt is decorated with Irish lace and embroidery. The dress has a back hook and loop closure. The waist sash is not included. The dress is in very good condition. It has not been cleaned so there is some minor age discoloration on one side of the skirt. There are a few pea size holes, mostly on the inside net lining and a few small period mends on the outer parts of the skirt. Bust 34 Waist 24 Skirt length 39.
