1860's Blue plaidish print dress

From the seller:

C1860 Antique vibrant blue changeable silk print dress as found for study or for the fabulous fabric

The dress has been enlarged perhaps for pregancy a long time ago. Measures 39" at the waist and 42" bust. See inside photos where alterations are most visible.

The skirt is 122" around and 40" long.

This early dress has lots of nice details.

There is much wear to the edges, underarms, most buttons are gone, neck edge is open in spots. The fabric itself is strong and mostly in good condition, no shattering. There is lots of this wonderful blue silk in the skirt which could be used a multitude of ways.

From Me:

I'm not sure whether to call this stripes or plaid or what. It is from the earlier part of the 1860's whatever the print is.
