This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Dress with Tulip print
From the seller:
A splendid original circa 1891 lady's French silk charmeuse two piece gown in a delightful tulip floral motif. Expertly constructed and sewn, with all French seams, having a stayed and lined bodice trimmed in French lace, with a front hook and eye closure, and an overlaid lace tail. Fashionally draped sleeves, a lined, trained, and gored skirt with an intricate pleated back with a deep ruffled hem. Shown with a necklace that is not included. A 32" bust, 24" waist, and 54" from shoulder to front hem. In very good clean as found condition, with just a few pin dot age flaws, some very minor wear to the floor brush of the train, and some spots and dusty soiling to the facing of the train. A truly exceptional Victorian era gown, one that you don't find every day.
