This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1897 Wedding Dress
From the seller:
This item up for auction is a Wedding dress worn in a wedding in 1897 and the documents and pic to prove it.. I do not know exactly how old the dress is other than its from 1897 or before. I won these items as part of a lot in an auction. This comes with the entire history of this wedding. Its a flashback in history. The fabric in the dress has little slits in it and may need a little tlc from its new owner or just keep it in its original antique state. You get exactly what you see in the pics. Here is a list of the items:
1 Wedding Dress Top
1 Wedding Dress Bottom
1 Picture of The Bride wearing the dress dated 1897 name mary Louise Walters
1 Newspaper article wedding announcement from 1897 Mary Louise Walters and Groom George Karr McMullen

1 Reception invitation from mary and georges wedding
1 Wedding party list from mary and georges wedding
2 pages of signed guest list for mary and georges wedding guests
1 Bride/ Groom witness page list from mary and georges wedding
1 wedding book and folder
