This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Early 1890's Winter Bodice
From the seller:
A stunning 1880-1890’s bright red wool jacket. The label reads L. P. Hollander & CO. Boston & New York. The collar and front opening are trimmed with black fur. The body of the jacket and sleeve cuffs are trimmed with bands of black satin creating a beautiful effect. The jacket is lined with printed silk and has a front hook and eye closure. The jacket is in very good condition. There are no moth holes and no underarm discoloration. There is a loose seam under each arm that will need very minor re-stitching and the inside lining has overall splitting. Bust 32 Waist 24 Length 21.
From Me:
I think this is from right about 1891.
