This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Fancy Dress (?) Bodice 1870's
From the seller:
A heavenly 1870 white figural pattern silk bodice. The bodice is accented with royal blue satin trim. The sleeves are decorated with scalloped epaulettes and sleeve cuffs. The peplum is designed in the same manner. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a back hook and eye closure. The blue satin covered button are decorative. The bodice is in very good condition. There are no splits or holes. There is no under arm discoloration. There are a few scattered tiny age spots and one 2 inch line mark near one armscye. Bust 30 Waist 22.
From Me:
The blue accents are adorable! I would have loved to have seen the skirt that went with this bodice.
