This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Summer Corset
From the seller:
A fetching 1890’s antique cotton net lace summer corset. The corset has a front hook closure and back lacing. The lacing is original but is is broken. There is some light soiling, fraying on the top binding four of the metal stays are poking through the fabric. (See Photo.) Bust 32 Waist 23 Hips 32 Front length 14 Side length 15 Back length 16
From Me:
I love these because they do seem to be rare. They become popular as sports became popular - the netting allowing for a slight bit more movement but mostly allowing for sweat!
