This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

late 1910's/early 1920's Summer Dress
From the seller:
This beautiful late Edwardian tea dress is made from a semi sheer white cotton batiste and is embroidered in black. It has a drop waisted style, the neckline crosses in front and hooks diagonally from the V to the waist. It has a decorative top stitch on the seams, it looks like there was a hand sewn tuck around the waist at one time that was removed. It's gathered along the shoulder seam in front and has full 3/4 length sleeves. There are a few mends in the ruffle that comes across the front to the side and a few small holes in the same area, but where they are they will not be noticable, they are near the side seam under the arm, the holes are behind the fold, so when mended, the ruffle will cover them. Otherwise, there are only a few pin holes and spots on the skirt in 2 places (photos). It measures 43 inches around the bust, waist is 44, hips are 44, across the back shoulder is 15 1/2 and it's 54 1/2 inches long. Excellent vintage condition.
From Me:
A Lovely larger sized dress.
