This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Teens Era Sari Dress
From the seller:
AUTHENTIC EDWARDIAN 1901-1919 DAY or EVENING DRESS w/FLORAL - VELVET & LACE TRIM
Very unusual color!
Bust: 32
Waist: 28
Hips: 38
Shoulders: 14.5
Shoulder to Waist: 15
Length: 53.5
PLEASE REVIEW PICTURES FOR ALL DETAILS AND ASK ANY QUESTIONS or CONCERNS YOU MIGHT HAVE BEFORE BUYING.
THIS DRESS IS NOT NEW AND MORE THAN 100 YEARS OLD. IT HAS SOME STAINING BUT I DON'T SEE ANY HOLES or TEARING. NEEDS ABOUT A HALF OF AN HOUR OF HAND STITCHING TO FIX TRIM (nothing major!). I'VE OWNED THIS DRESS MORE THAN EIGHTEEN - TWENTY YEARS. ONE OF THREE I OWNED PREVIOUSLY. LAST AND BEST OF THE THREE BECAUSE OF IT'S BEAUTIFUL COLOR.
I will happily answer any questions promptly.
From Me:
Sari dresses are totally period, people! :-D
