Early Edwardian Summer Dress

From the seller:

THIS IS A LOVELY EXAMPLE OF AN 1890'S SUMMER DRESS!
IT IS MADE OF LIGHTWEIGHT LAWN COTTON WITH LACE PANELS.
THE SKIRT IS FULL .  IT HAS LACE PANELS AND PIN TUCK STITCHING ON BOTTOM 3RD TO ADD FULLNESS TO HENLINE.
THE BACK BODICE HAS THIN TUCK SEAMS ALSO.
THE BODICE IS BLOUSY, HAS 3/4  PUFFY SLEEVES WITH LACE CUFFS.. IT ALSO HAS  A HIGH LACE NECKLINE, WIDE LACE WAISTBAND.  THE DRESS HAS WAS MADE WITH A STRONG , REINFORCED WAISTBAND INSIDE.
THERE ARE SNAPS AT WAIST AND TINY MOTHER OF PEARL BUTTONS UP THE BACK.
THE MEASUREMENTS: 15.5" ACROSS SHOULDERS INSIDE SEAM, FRONT / 34" BUST / 23" WAIST / 40" HIPS / 16" SLEEVE / 58" LENGTH.

From Me:

Although the seller believes it's from the 1890's (the puffy sleeves!), it's actually an early Edwardian, about 10 years later. The shape of the skirt and the pigeon blouse bodice are more indicative of the later era.
