Titanic Era pink and black dinner dress







From the seller:

An ornate 1912 Edwardian shimmering pink silk dress.  The dress is from a collection of dresses from a CT. estate. The name of the original owner will be provided to the winning bidder.  The fabric has a changeable quality with a gold undertone depending on the light reflection.  The bodice is made of black net lace and decorated with silver metallic embroidery.  The bodice is lined with ivory chiffon and ivory silk.  The waist is decorated with pink embroidery that is outlined with silver metallic thread.  The skirt is unlined.  The bodice lining has a hook and eye closure.  The outer bodice has a snap closure.  The dress also has a pink satin button closure at the waist and front of the skirt.  The black sash belt did not come with the dress but will be included.  The dress is in very good and sturdy condition.   There is some underarm discoloration on the inside lining and the chiffon fabric lining in the bodice has scattered holes.  Bust  34 Waist 26 Skirt length 38.
