This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Pretty Purple Edwardian Bodice!
From the seller:
This beautiful Victorian bodice is made from an embossed silk in lavender. It's lined in cotton and has boning in the seam, it hooks down the front. The sleeves have pin tucks and shirring, the neck and wrists are trimmed with a heavy cotton lace. It has a stain in the center, a perfect place to pin a cameo and 2 opened seams in the lining, one underarm has a tiny fade to pink, there's a missing hook and a few needs securing. It measures 38 inches around the bust, waist is 29, across the back shoulder is 12 7/8 inches and it's about 18 1/2 inches long from the shoulder seam to the bottom of the center front point. very good vintage condition.
From Me:
I believe this is an early Edwardian but it could be from the very late 1890's as well. It's very much a Turn of the Century bodice.
