Mid 19th Century lace cap

From the seller:

This and other laces this week were acquired from a private museum de-accession. This piece dates to the mid 19th century and is fashioned of a very fine bridal net that is lavishly hand embroidered in rich, raised couched effect in large florals and leaves with fine needle work in the center of the flowers and Valenciennes insertion in the center flowers with an accordion pleated Valenciennes lace around the brim. The nape of the neck has a drawstring, one bride break is unnoted and the piece is in exceptional, antique condition. The piece is adult in size, measuring 10 inches in depth and 7 ½ inches from top to bottom.
