This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Checked and Dotted Bodice
From the seller:
For your consideration a fabulous example of Victorian attire. This beautifully detailed Victorian blouse would make an awesome display or study piece, but because it is damaged, it is not suitable for wear. The fabric is very old and fragile and has several areas of age-appropriate damage, including many areas of shredding and tearing of the fabric as well as yellowing and a spot or two. Photos do not show each and every little rip and tear, but give a good example of the overall condition of the piece. I had this item displayed in my home and it was really a very nice decoration!
From Me:
This is most likely 1890's but may go into the early 1900's. For some reason, it reminds me of a school teacher's outfit!
