This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Black Lace Bodice
From the seller:
Late 1800's Victorian Blouse
Silk with Black Chantilly Lace
The silk is shredding in the armpit area (this can be seen in the last two pictures)
Some of the lace has tears. Majority of the lace is fine but it looks like the sheer mesh lining under the lace is tearing a bit.
When the blouse is closed, the bottom width is 17 inches.
Sleeve length is 19 inches
Shoulder to Shoulder is 15 inches
Thank you for looking.
From Me:
I'm guessing more late 1900's to early teens on this piece. The waist and sleeves indicate an Edwardian style.
