This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Bustle Era Wrapper (?)
From the seller:
Antique Victorian Dress
** I am not an expert in Antique dresses so consider that when bidding on this item**
I believe this to be pre 1901, not a 100% positive!!!
Included is a black shawl and dress accessories
Dress is torn in different areas with some holes, needs serious mending, refer to picture
Sold as is with no returns
If you have any questions please ask
**Happy Bidding and Thanks for looking**
From Me:
I just want to sincerely thank the seller for being honest and NOT making up a time period for the dress. This beauty (with accessories!) is from the 1870's, based on the waistline. It *might* be right before they go to natural form. Wouldn't this be the coolest Christmas frock right now to wear to all the parties?
