This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Awesome collection of bodices!
From the seller:
Up for sale is a wonderful collection of 4 Victorian or earlier 1/2 dresses mounted in shadow frames with a bonus c1800s child's christening outfit with shoes ! The brown dress with Parasol pictured in the group photo is no longer available. Colors of the dresses are vibrant. No fading or stains. Each dress has a period accessory included. I believe these came out of an Inn in Vermont. The frames measure and impressive 32-1/2" square. The baby boys christening outfit frame measures 25-1/2" X 44-1/2". This would look amazing in a Women's clothing store. Restaurant or another Inn ! When these were originally mounted. The cost of the frame and mounting was $375.00 each. I'm selling the set of 5 for $1250.00. I will sell individually. Make an offer. Shipping will average $45.00. This is local pickup for entire set due to size. Please call the number at bottom of page if you have any questions. Thanks for looking !
From Me:
This would make a great Museum display! Most of the bodices seem to be 1890's. The brown one that is only seen in the large group might be earlier and I think the green one and the gray one are both 1900's.
