This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Cute 1920's Dress
From the seller:
Interesting dress probably from the mid 20s/early 30s is made with a rounded neckline and drop-waistline. It has been "updated" with lace at the neckline, lace sleeves and lace draped over the skirt and lifted at one side with a tassle dangling. The dress has several stains and the lace overskirt has some long tears in the net. The lace sleeves seem to be in good shape. There have been some repairs to the basic fabric of the dress, a long tear has been sewn up the front under one arm. I am selling as is for study or display, however, there is enough good lace to reclaim from this dress to make it worth while just for the lace. The dress fabric selvage edge says "Beldings". Approximate measurements of this are:
B = 34
W = 33
Shoulder to shoulder across back =- 17"
Shoulder to Waist Length = 14-1/2"
Waist to Hem Length = 30-1/2"
From Me:
I'm not sure if this is a day dress or Sunday's best! It's super cute and I want three in each color. :-) Actually, this is probably a mid-20's dress but the use of fabrics is interesting and unusual.
