This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Late Victorian Lace Blouse
From the seller:
This was I am sure quite beautiful in its day but it's in need of some help now. Selling it as in for it's gorgeous trims, parts and possibly pattern to someone who can use it.
Under the gorgeous floral (daffodils?) embroidered lace is silk which is disintegrating. It is boned along the waist, and has large puffy sleeves with metalic gold trim as shown.
Please note: I will be out of town until December 16th and should have access to email but may be unable to answer some questions until I return.
From Me:
This is a turn of the century bodice. My guess is late 1890's but it could easily be early Edwardian.
