This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Sweet Early Edwardian Era Petticoat/Slip
From the seller:
This auction is for a superb Princess Petticoat with insertion lace and ribbon. This petticoat makes a wonderful display and boy is she curvy! There is one large stress tear at the back and previous stress repairs especially near the placket. Many of the button holes have torn througgh and been repaired. The lace is in good condition with only a few small holes or stresses. The measurements are approximate and as follows: Bust 34”, Waist 24”, length from neck to hem 42'.
From Me:
:-) Seeing the tear near the bottom of the opening of the slip like that makes me happy only because this happens ALL THE TIME to me. It's period! Yay!
