This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Teens Era Black Silk Gown
From the seller:
You are bidding on an antique dress...very Titanic styled....
It is black with gorgeous fine netting on bodice and on overlay of black silk dress.
The silk is in surprising good condition but the fine netting around shoulders and bodice are wearing.
There is an intricate glass beaded design in the netting around the bodice which appeas to be all in tact.
On each shoulder there is a set of draping black glass beads...beautiful.... The cotton lining in bodice is very fragile.
The netting overlay on skirt is in excellent condition with about 10" of an inticate flower design all in glass beads...so breath taking...picture is lighter than the beading actually is.
From Me:
This is still up for sale if anyone would like to get it. It's at a $50 buy it now price. My guess is this is actually around 1913~1914 but it's hard to tell from the photos.
