This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Brown 1890's Bodice
From the seller:
This gorgeous victorian bodice is in a hard to find extra large size. It features a vee in front and back waistline, a detachable collar, leg-o-mutton sleeves and bead trim. It is a very dark brown, almost an espresso color, but I have tried to lighten the photos to bring out the details. The outer garment has no holes or tears that I could see. The lining has a few tears and there is underarm staining on both sleeves. It is fully boned. Two of the bones need to be re-sewn into place. I will leave that up to the buyer. Very wearable, the fabric seems strong. Would benefit from a professional cleaning. Approx measurements are:
B = 44
W = 36"
Shoulder to shoulder across back = 15-1/2
Centerback neck to waist = 15"
Centerback neck to point of hem = 20"
Sleeve length = 25"
From Me:
Wow! Plus sized!
