This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Festive 1890's Bodice
From the seller:
D309 - 1890's Incredible Belle Epoch Gibson Girl Bodice: I am listing this item again with no reserve. They knew how to make a woman look like a lady. Look at this fabulous 1890's Belle Epoch bodice. It is the quintessential look of the Gibson Girl. There are so many beautiful silk and lace and sequined pieces designed together to make a fashion that is a true work of art. The bust of this bodice is 33, the waist is 29 and the shoulders are 11.5 across. There are some scattered spots, some wear to the netting , some minor sequin loss and some missing hooks and eyes. See photos for some of this detail. The lining is in good condition. Because of the fragile state of the netting I wouldn't wear this bodice. It makes a great display piece or inspiration piece. It is perfect eye candy. The bidding will start at .99 with no reserve.
From Me:
This is a very styling, wearable sized, bodice. I love the lace detail!
