This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. Early Edwardian Era Bodice
From the seller:
Wonderful antique Edwardian ladies evening jacket, which has been produced in the from of a tail coat, from pale green and pink fabric. The jacket has lace modesty bodice, and has high wired collar. The jacket fastens via a complicated series of hoofs and eyes to the front of the bodice.
AGE
Circa 1905.
SIZE
The jacket measures-
Bust - 29½"
Waist - 25"
Length- 45"
CONDITION
The jacket is in a very good condition for age and delicate nature. There are several areas with splits to the silk, especially to the front of the "tails" and also to the back of one of the sleeves. There is also an old repair to the front of the bodice, and areas of faint brown discoloration. Please refer to the above photographs for full details of condition.

The bodice looks gray in the pictures but it might be a nice sea foam green in reality...
