This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Fabulous Sheer Summer Jacket 1860's
From the seller:
A magnificent 1860-1870 Tambour net lace jacket with hand stitched embroidered appliqués. The jacket has a wide hip peplum. It is trimmed with pleated white silk and ivory silk fringe. The pagoda style sleeves are opened on the inner seam. The jacket is unlined. The last couple of photos show it displayed over a dress that is being offered in a separate auction, as this is how it would have originally been worn. The jacket is in very good condition. There are no breaks in the lace. There is one tiny age spot on the front bust area. Bust 34 Waist 28. A rare and highly collection jacket.
From Me:
This looks like it would be oh so pretty over some of the florals I posted this morning.
