This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Edwardian Wrapper Dress
From the seller:
Here we have a very different and unusual dress. I think it might
have been a maternity dress but I am not sure.
I love this black and white material.
There is a double layered collar ,could also be pined up so
it would be a high neck.
Cuffs on sleeves double layered as well.
The dress buttons down all the way to the ruffles.
For easy step in.
There is a soft bustle back and the dress is 3 1/2"
longer in the back.
The sweet pockets and the attached self belt finishes
off this great dress.

Absolutely in great condition. Totally wearable.
From Me:
It's the side picture that helped greatly in dating this dress. See how the back of the skirt is a bit longer? That plus the style of the sleeves, the way the front is constructed, make me think this is from the mid to late 1900's (meaning 1905-1910). Quite an interesting print!
