This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Summer Edwardian Day Dress
From the seller:
An exquisite Edwardian wedding dress, exceptional in design & construction. Featuring beautiful Irish crochet lace inserts, swiss dots, dainty pintucks & abundant floral padded satin stitch embroidery & appliques. Petite covered buttons at the back & hooks at the petersham. Excellent condition, found 8 pencil tip size holes all in a line measuring about 1 1/2", at the rear tail flap (does not stand out). A real one of a kind beauty for your special wedding day or a great find for the avid collector.
Approx. Measurements 38 bust 26 waist 53 length + a 4" hem can be let down
From Me:
It's not a wedding dress. The seller is just another one that concludes that white=wedding which, quite honestly, would mean my knee length prom dress was a wedding gown. O_o? Instead, this is a nice, simple in cut but outrageous in embroidery summer Edwardian dress. This would have been something nice to wear to tea but not to a wedding.
