This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1890's Wrapper Gown
From the seller:
A romantic 1895 stripe cotton dress. The fabric has a pale yellow and light blue stripe pattern. The bodice is lavishly trimmed with blue and gold ribbon and lace. The bodice is lined with cotton and has a front hook and eye closure. The top of the sleeves are trimmed with seven lace trimmed ruffles. The cuffs are trimmed with lace and ribbons. The waist is trimmed with ribbons. The hemline on the skirt is decorated with ribbon and lace trimmed ruffles. The skirt is lined with cotton. The dress is in very good condition. There is a faint outline of a water mark on the skirt. (See Photo) There is a break in the ribbon trim on the waist and faint underarm discoloration. Bust 34 Waist 26 Skirt length 40.
From Me:
I adore those ribbons on the top of the sleeves! It's so frilly, I had to post it on my puppy dog's birthday. :-)
