This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1920's Teal Dress
From the seller:
You are bidding on a genuine 1920s flapper dress. This is for a serious collector. There are some condition issues- there is a tear in the skirt as well as wear in the fabric near each underarm (see photos). The dress looks large, but the fit is actually extremely small. If you can see in the photos, the dress does not fit the model in the hips (it should be pulled a bit farther down). There is an attached slip which needs some love and care- one strap is broken and the other is on its way out. There is also some staining on the slip in the underarm area. The beading on the first layer is extraordinary. I'm sure that something fantastic can be done with the piece to make it wearable again.
Please see photos and ask any questions PRIOR to bidding.
Approx. measurements:
bust (of slip)- 36"
waist- 30"
hips- 31"
length from shoulder- 43" at longest part of beaded layer
From Me:
I love the color of this dress. I just want to put a big pink bow on the left hip!
