This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

1870's Bustle Era Petticoat
From the seller:
A supreme 1870-1880 long trained petticoat. The petticoat is made of white cotton. The bottom hemline is trimmed with rows of pin tucking and three rows of pleated ruffles. It has a wonderful long train that is perfect for displaying reception gowns that have long trains. The petticoat is in very good condition. It has not been cleaned so there are a few tiny age spots and some light soiling on the back train. Waist 28 Front length 40 back length 54.
From Me:
I <3 that it's a wearable size as well as being in such great condition.
