This is a place for any extant garments in private collections from about 1941 back. There is no beginning date. The only rule is that it can't be currently in a museum and must be before the bombing of Pearl Harbor. I mostly post items I've seen on ebay, etsy, or other auction sites so we will continue to have a record of them for research purposes. If you have antique clothing in your collection, please, email me pictures of them and I will gladly add them to this site.

Black Polka Dotted Skirt
From the seller:
White sheer material with black polka dots throughout and a ruffled bottom edge.
From top to bottom it measures 37 1/2" long and waist is 27".
There is nothing to hold together at the back, needs a button or snap
There are a couple of age spots, a couple of tiny thinning spots at the top, a few pinholes and 1 tiny fixed tear (photo'd).
Breezy, beautiful, antique skirt.
From Me:
A wearable sized polka dotted skirt! It's hard to tell the age on this one. It could be Natural Form (late 1870's/early 1880's) or early 1900's. The seller states (in the title to the auction) that she believes it is from the 1900's. I'm inclined to agree.
